Athlete stopped Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs from being assaulted at party: suit

A professional athlete once stopped Sean “Diddy” Combs from sexually assaulting a luxury car businessman at a star-studded Ciroc party, a new lawsuit claims.

The alleged victim, named John Doe in court documents obtained by The Post on Tuesday, claims the incident occurred at a launch party for Combs’ vodka brand around 2022.

The Bad Boys Records founder allegedly invited the Los Angeles-based luxury car and jewelry rental businessman into his private office during the event and then took off his pants and exposed himself, according to the complaint.

“Combs continued to approach and then grabbed the plaintiff’s genitals through his pants, squeezing them in a rough and sexual manner,” the papers allege.

The unnamed man says he was “shocked and disoriented” and “froze for a moment” because he “didn’t know how to respond to Combs’ strangely inappropriate sexual advances.”

Combs’ alleged attack was ultimately foiled by an unnamed celebrity athlete, identified in the lawsuit only as “Professional Athlete A,” who entered the office.

After the interruption, the businessman quickly left the room and left the party, according to the documents.

The man claims he attended the party after Combs, his longtime client, assured him that “high-profile guests in the music and entertainment world” would be in attendance.

He claims he took a photo of Combs sitting on a couch with “other high-profile individuals,” which is included in the filing. However, the supposed celebrities’ faces were redacted.

The new lawsuit is the latest in a series of sexual abuse allegations against the rapper.

On Sunday, a woman accused Combs and a male and female celebrity of raping her at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000 when she was just 13 years old, in a lawsuit filed by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee.

Buzbee filed at least four other civil lawsuits in the Southern District of New York this weekend, with court documents describing two men and two women as victims.

“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defense and the integrity of the legal process,” Combs’ legal team said in a statement to Page Six. “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone – adult or minor, male or female.”

Earlier this month, Buzbee revealed that he represented 120 people in civil lawsuits accusing Combs of sex crimes over a three-decade period. One of the attorney’s clients was just nine years old when Combs allegedly attacked him.

Buzbee had previously claimed that several A-list celebrities would be exposed for their involvement in the incidents.

The “Last Night” rapper’s fall from grace began in November 2023 when his ex-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura filed a lawsuit accusing him of rape, sex trafficking and physically abusing her during their decade-long relationship.

Combs settled the case with Ventura, 28, less than 24 hours later and denied any wrongdoing.

However, months later, a video surfaced of the father of seven violently beating the ‘Me & U’ singer at a hotel in 2016. He subsequently apologized publicly.

Ventura’s lawsuit against the music mogul led to a barrage of accusations, with dozens of alleged victims accusing Combs of sexual abuse and rape. Some also claimed that the alleged attacks took place at his famous white parties.

Combs was arrested in New York City on September 16 and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The Grammy winner pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held behind bars at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail.
