Declan Rice has donated £5,000 to a GoFundMe campaign for a West Ham Under-15 goalkeeper battling cancer.

Rice, himself a former Hammers youth player, made 245 appearances for West Ham before signing for Arsenal in July 2023.

Oscar Fairs, 14, who has played for West Ham since he was nine, was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour last year.

According to Rising Ballers, Fairs is a season ticket holder at West Ham and has ambitions to reach the first team.

Fairs underwent seven operations, one round of chemotherapy and one round of radiation therapy, but was told palliative care was the only option.

Fairs’ family has found a treatment called MEMMAT, which is not available in the UK but can be provided at a clinic in France called The Oscar Lembert Center.

Over £60,000 has been raised so far, with a target of £100,000.

Fairs’ family will meet with the French oncologist on Friday to discuss his treatment plan.
