Arsenal goals from Saliba and Gabriel against Lyon

Arsenal have shown again this season that they are also strong in set pieces, as evidenced by the two goals they scored from corners in the first half in today’s friendly against Lyon.

William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes both headed corners for the Gunners, as we have seen so many times from these two great centre-backs last season.

Arsenal fans will be hoping that Mikel Arteta can turn his team into a powerhouse at regular intervals, as the North London giant often uses his attacking qualities as a secret weapon.

This can be hugely useful for teams where other tactical plans aren’t quite working, so things are looking promising for Arsenal so far.

Lyon may not be the strongest opponent and it will be a different story once Premier League football resumes, but these early signs look good for Arsenal.
