Arsenal and Tottenham approached by agent Adrien Rabiot

Arsenal and Tottenham approached by agent Adrien Rabiot

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have reportedly been approached by representatives of free agent Adrien Rabiot.

The English transfer market may be closed, but that doesn’t mean clubs can’t sign new players. There are currently many talents unemployed.

Rabiot is high on the list of top players looking for a new club.

The 29-year-old has made 48 appearances for France so far, making five appearances in The Blues’ reach the semi-finals of the 2024 European Championship this summer.

Now that Rabiot has failed to agree a new contract with Juventus, he – who previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and Toulouse – is now a free agent.

Given his status, it is not surprising that Rabiot has been linked with so many big clubs, with the likes of Newcastle United, Man Utd, AC Milan and Bayern Munich all linked with him last summer.

Meanwhile, two Istanbul clubs, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, are said to have shown interest in Rabiot, but the midfielder seems determined to stay in one of Europe’s biggest leagues.

According to TBR, Rabiot’s agent has contacted North London giants Arsenal and Tottenham about a possible transfer.

It appears that Rabiot’s current wage demands of £220,000-a-week are proving to be a stumbling block for most interested clubs.

Arsenal in particular could be in the market for a midfielder, however, with new signing Mikel Merino still weeks away from fitness and Italy international Jorginho having been linked with Galatasaray.
