Arcane season 2 showrunner explains that part of that $250 million budget came about because “no one ever made anything great by not taking bets”

Arcane season 2 is in full swing, and rumors about it have been circulating ever since the League of Legends spin-off show cost $250 millionthat’s all some people can talk about. While the number hasn’t been explicitly confirmed by the showrunners, Christian Linke has shared some thoughts on it.

Speak with Animation magazineLinke says: “We were also just very lucky that we were able to get a higher budget for an animated series because we had an IP (intellectual property) from Riot. We were really able to put art first. I often get that chance.”
