Aramco Team Series-London for Leona Maguire

Leona Maguire made an eagle on the final hole for a par of 73 and a total of 211 (66 72 73, -8) to win the Aramco Team Series Presented by PIF – London, the third of five Aramco tournaments played at the Centurion Club course (par 73) in St.

It is the first success on the circuit for Leona Maguire, a 29-year-old from County Cavan who has two successes on the LPGA Tour and the same number on the Symetra Tour (now Epson Tour). After leading the first two rounds and starting the third with two birdies, she lost four strokes (two bogeys, one double bogey) between the fourth and eighth holes, putting everything in doubt.

She extended her lead with a birdie, but on the 16th hole her bogey combined with a birdie from the Iberian and it was a tie. Hernandez was the first to arrive in the clubhouse and with a birdie (68, -5, five birdies) she took the lead, then the performance of the Irishman, who received a check for $69,435 on a prize fund of $500,000.

The team competition (over 36 holes) was decided in the play-offs and was won with 268 (-24) by Team Nadaud, consisting of Nastasia Nadaud, Mireia Prat, Kristyna Napoleaova and George Brooksbank (am), who thus overtook Team Hall.

In third place with 269 (-23) Team Maguire, fifth in sixth place with 271 (-21) Team Alexander with Virginia Elena Carta and in 12th place with 273 (-19) Team Fanali. Each of the three winners received a check for $32,403 from a prize pool of $500,000.
