I’m all for challenging clues for the NYT crossword puzzle, but solving them becomes a lot more complicated when you have two clues that exactly the samesuch as the clues “Apple product” in today’s NYT Mini Crossword puzzle.

“Apple product” is the clue for both six over and one under in the August 22 NYT Mini Crossword puzzle. If you’re as confused as I am, don’t worry: I’ve got the hints to help, as well as the answer to both questions if you’re really stuck.

Crossword puzzle difficulty ‘Apple products?’

If this was a standalone clue, it might be easy to solve. But because two of the clues asked for Apple products, it was a bit of a challenge to figure out if they were asking for products with apples in them, like pie and crumble, or iPhone and iPods.

When I first saw two of the same clues, I honestly thought it was a mistake, until I finished the entire crossword puzzle and saw the answers. Since the answers could have been endless, I would give this clue a difficulty rating of four out of five.
