Antony Starr, aka Homelander in ‘The Boys,’ reveals his weakness for one character

Antony Starr is practically invincible in his role as the super-powered Homelander in The Boys on Prime Video.

But he admitted during an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers that one character on the show made him weak in the knees. That was Elisabeth Shue, who previously played Vought International boss Madelyn Stillwell on the series.

Starr said that Shue fell in love as a little boy after seeing The Karate Kid.

“When I was little, and she wasn’t really that much older than me, but a little bit older. I was a big fan of The Karate Kid,” Starr said. “I used to do karate when I was little, and my dad would take me to the movies to see The Karate Kid. And Ali, aka Elisabeth Shue, was probably my first on-screen crush.”

When Shue was cast, it was a big moment for Starr.
