Antetokounmpo and Ntrismpioti appointed as Greek flag bearers for the Paris Olympics

Greek basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo and race walker Antigoni Ntrismpioti have been chosen as flag bearers for Greece at the Olympic Games in Paris.

The selection was made by an absolute majority of the Greek Olympic Committee.

Other candidates were tennis player Maria Sakkari, swimmer Evangelia Platanioti and water polo player Margarita Plevritou. Long jumper Miltos Tentoglou and pole vaulter Katerina Stefanidi asked not to be considered flag bearers so as not to disrupt their preparation programmes.
