Andor Season 2 Details Revealed at D23 2024 With Teaser, Krennic and K-2SO Return Confirmed

Star Wars series Andor showed off behind-the-scenes footage and clips from season 2 at D23 in Anaheim. TIE fighters, stormtroopers, riots and rebels proved there’s plenty to see when the series airs on Disney+ next year.

Andor’s star Diego Luna took the stage in Anaheim to talk about how much the series’ first season meant to him and what to expect from Season 2.

“‘Rogue One has changed my life. I’ve been living with Cassian Andor for 10 years now. It’s amazing to be able to complete this story that begins with season 1 of Rogue One. In the first season, we go through a single year. He’s living under the rule of the Empire. He’s been given a taste of courage,” he told the crowd.

“This second installment of the story follows Cassian over the course of four years as he grows into the rebellious hero we know and love in Rogue One. In this season, the stakes are higher, the enemies are more organized, and time is ticking. The threat of the Empire is growing, Andor has a lofty purpose, freedom, and a brighter future.”

Earlier this year, Luna revealed that more characters from Rogue One will appear in Andor Season 2. The series’ place in the Star Wars timeline means that the final season will pick up the story just three days before the events of Rogue One.

Andor season 2 was announced to premiere in August 2024 during Star Wars Celebration in April 2023, but was delayed. This was almost certainly due to strikes by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and the Writers Guild of America (WGA).
