Among Us adds Critical Role cosmetics, ahead of Ashley Burch’s role in the series

Among Us developer InnerSloth has announced a partnership with Dungeons and Dragons web series Critical Role.

This collaboration means that players can now adorn their little space beans with a number of items worn by those intrepid members of Vox Machina, Mighty Nein or Bells Hells. I’m talking about Artagan’s Incredible Brows Visor or the Dust of Deliciousness Nameplate, to name just two.

“Collaborating with the incredible crew from the hit TTRPG show Critical Role to bring some of their magic to Among Us for Gilmore’s Curious Cosmicube has been overwhelming,” InnerSloth said. “Be sure to head over to our in-game store and spend some stars before the Cosmicube is gone.”

When the Cosmicube will be gone is on November 12th at 8am UK time.

Once Among Us players purchase the Cosmicube, they can get the following themed items:

In addition to all these new threads, there is also a new kill animation (which you can see in the header above). To get this animation, players will need to equip all of Chetney’s items as an Impostor.

This collaboration with Critical Role follows cast member Ashley Johnson’s role as “Purple” in the upcoming animated series Among Us.

We first heard about this Among Us adaptation last year, with a general overview when it was announced that read: “Members of your crew have been replaced by an alien shapeshifter bent on causing chaos, sabotaging your ship, and killing everyone you encounter. Either eradicate the ‘Impostor’ or fall victim to his murderous plans.”

Since then, familiar faces like Elijah Wood, Wayne Knight and of course Johnson have been announced as voice actors for various crew members.

Back in February of this year, InnerSloth and CBS Studios shared a small teaser for the animated series, featuring an image of an empty cafeteria with pizza and balloons, adorned with a banner that read, “We’re not dead.” Well, it actually said “We’re dead,” thanks to an ominous blood splatter in the center of the banner.

Hmm, seems suspicious to me.
