Amanda Anisimova makes big revelation about upcoming Toronto final

Amanda Anisimova And Jessica Pegula will compete for the title on the WTA 1000 in TorontoThe Tour has finally found young Amanda, who interrupted her season last year due to mental health problems.

She took a break from tennis, but now wants to take back everything she left behind. The American won the challenge with compatriot Emma Navarro 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 and won the baseline duel with ease.

In the final she will challenge another compatriot, as Pegula defeated Russian star Diana Shnaider 6-4, 6-3. Diana seemed quite tired and did not show the same level with which she had a fantastic trip at the National Bank Open.

During the press conference she spoke about her result and the upcoming final with Pegula, Anisimova shared her emotions and feelingsstressing how hard she had worked to get there and how nice it was that her family had come to Toronto to support her. Amanda then indicated that she still… hungry of tennis: great news for all her tennis fans, who hope she will return to the highest level.

“It’s really nice to see all the love and feedback after my match. Yeah, I’m just going to talk to the people that are close to me and try to focus on the final. It means the world. I’m just happy that my whole family could watch my match today, and all my friends, so. I’m still hungry for moreand I hope I do very well in the final. This is a big achievement for me, and something I have worked hard for. I’m just super happy, honestly, with my week here, and yeah, I’m pretty surprised how well I’ve done so far. Yeah, I’m super happy,” she said.
