Here are the four available settings.

  • Newcomer: Rookie is the easiest of the four difficulty levels and a great start for beginners and first-time players to the franchise.

Pro: A good experience for newer Madden players who have some experience with the franchise but haven’t played much yet.

All-Pro: This mode is a fairly difficult experience and is intended for those who have a lot of experience with recent Madden games. It is best avoided for casual players.

Totally Madden: The highest difficulty level, and ideal for those who enjoy the toughest challenges in any game. This setting is perfect only for those who have years of experience with the Madden franchise.

Remember that you can only set the difficulty for modes where you play against AI. Games against other human opponents obviously have no set difficulty and are dependent on the skill level of the players.
