All Luojia Fragrant Vine locations in Black Myth Wukong

Black Myth: Wukong‘S Luojia fragrant vines are one of the most important (and rarest) items you can find, and they are spread over several locations.

These plants allow you to upgrade your Gourd, which can make the difference between winning a battle or returning to the nearest Keeper’s Shrine. With enough Luojia Fragrant Vines, you can also upgrade your gourd to a maximum of nine applications. Once it is fully upgraded, you can obtain the secret Mythical rarity Supreme Gourd by talking to a certain NPC in Chapter Five. This will increase your usage to 10 and give you an achievement.

Here are all the Luojia Fragrant Vine locations in Black Myth: WukongWe found most of these through normal gameplay, but we got a little help from content creator Lootward’s video to complete the set.

All Luojia Fragrant Vine Locations in Chapter 1 of Black Myth Wukong

Only one Luojia Fragrant Vine in Chapter One is located near the Swamp of the White Mist Shrine in the Bamboo Forest. Look over the sanctuary and see the characteristic yellow vines growing from a nearby tree.

Go to Windrest Bridge in the Yellow Wind Formation to spot the first Luojia Fragrant Vine in the second chapter. Continue through the village until you reach a large gate surrounded by a few tough enemies. Once you defeat them, go through the gate and look for the tree just to the right.

The largest gate in the village is guarded by enemies, but next to it is a Luojia Fragrant Vine.

The next place you need is the Valley of Despair Sanctuary in the Sandgate Village area. Get the Sharpness of Tiger and the Strength of Stone, and then open the gate here. This Luojia Fragrant Vine is guarded by the Gore-Eye Daoistwho will give you a Ghost after you are defeated.

Once you start Chapter Three, you can purchase a Luojia Fragrant Vine from Shen Monkey, which will give you a boost to get through this long chapter.

There is another vine in the Outside the Mani Wheel Sanctuary, just after the Captain Wise-Voice bossGo up the stone stairs and look across the room at the usual yellow leaves.

The next stop is the North Shore of Bitter Lake Sanctuary after clearing Turtle Island. Hug the right side of the island, where the snake skeleton is sticking out of the snow. Defeat a few flying enemies and look for a staircase on your left.

Go up, defeat the wolf enemy on the way, and go up another flight of stairs to find a gate on the left. Go through it to pick up another Luojia Fragrant Vine. Don’t forget to check out the snake skeleton before you leave for a fight and a Curio, and don’t miss the Chen Loong quest on the other side of the shore.

Go to the Sanctuary of the Longevity Road in the Valley of Ecstasy Next, go down the slope by the shrine to find a staircase embedded in the snow. Go up the stairs and continue straight until you see a gate ahead of you.

Make a quick stop here to defeat the larger enemy that appears and grab a Awakened wine worm, then go through the gate and go up another flight of stairs that leads to a small clearing. Two flying enemies are guarding this Luojia Fragrant Vine.

All Luojia Fragrant Vine Locations in Chapter Four of Black Myth Wukong

Just like in Chapter Three, after starting Chapter Four you can drop by Shen Monkey at any time to grab another Luojia Fragrant Vine.

Then keep an eye out for another Vine once you get the Verdure Bridge Shrine in Webbed Hollow. Take the grassy bridge and continue to the left until you pass a set of cocoons. Take another left past an opening in the wall until you reach a small village with a Luojia Fragrant Vine guarded by a scorpion-like enemy.

The next one is close to the Cliff of Oblivion Shines in the Webbed Hollow, after the battle with the The right hand of Buddha. Go through the passage and over the newly formed (and rather dirty) bridge. Go right and follow the path, then take the left path and drop down to the rope bridge (at least we hope it’s rope).

Cross the rope bridge and continue straight until you reach another, smaller rope bridge with a myriad of spider cocoons above it. Cloud Step through the spiders, being careful not to fall off, then head to the green area on the other side of the bridge. You can find another Luojia Fragrant Vine by a tree.

The next area is right after the most horrifying part I’ve ever seen in gaming. The story takes you outside of Webbed Hollow and into the Temple of Yellow FlowersMountain path. This Vine is located just before where you end up after the cutscene. If you want to go back, you can turn around to find it.

The last Luojia vine is currently in the Chapter Four: Secret Area, Purple Cloud Mountain. You unlock this area via the Venom Daoist secret questline, where you have to defeat this enemy in two different locations. Travel to the Valley of the Flowers Sanctuary and look to the right to see this Vine near a tree in the distance.

If you haven’t unlocked the Purple Cloud Mountain secret area yet, the Venom Daoist first appears in a cocoon to the right of the Shrine of the Pond with Broken Jadethen again in an arena in the Court of Enlightenment. It’s the large arena that looks suspiciously like a place for a fight, but this enemy only appears here if you defeat him the first time.

All Luojia Fragrant Vine Locations in Chapter Five of Black Myth Wukong

You can purchase another Vine from Shen Monkey after reaching the fifth chapter, leaving you with just one more place to find it. Go to the Height of Ember Sanctuary in the Forests of Ember and take the left path instead of going through the gate. Take the small slope on the left, then drop down and take the right path to find the final Luojia Fragrant Vine guarded by some small enemies.

After you upgrade your gourd to rank nine, you can find an NPC in the Rakshasa Palace Shrine in the Furnace Valley area. Climb the stairs and cross the bridge, then take the path on the right and look for a room on the other side of the lava. Talk to the NPC, who will give you a nice present.
