Alex Telles faces uncertain future as Al-Nassr consider selling defender

Alex Telles could leave Al-Nassr before the summer transfer deadline, according to reports.

The Brazilian defender, who previously played for Manchester United, signed a two-year contract with the Saudi club last summer.

Although he has 12 months left on his contract, the 31-year-old player is a candidate to leave the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium.

According to a recent report from football transfer journalist Rudy Galetti, Telles could be sold off as 62-year-old Portuguese manager Luis Castro looks to sign a new left-back from abroad.

Presumably to free up space to register another foreign signing, Al-Nassr could sacrifice their number 15 and sanction his return to European football. Which clubs are interested in signing the deadball specialist is still unknown, however.

Since joining the Middle Eastern club, Telles, who has also made 12 appearances for Brazil, has scored three goals and provided five assists in 36 appearances in all competitions.

Al-Nassr have already sold ten first-team players this summer, including experienced goalkeeper David Ospina and midfielder Seko Fofana (on loan at Al-Ettifaq).
