Air Tahiti Nui launches special edition surf magazine

Flagship airline Air Tahiti Nui has launched a special edition of the magazine, Horueto celebrate the special bond between Tahiti and surfing.

A concept found in several Polynesian languages ​​is ‘horue’, which expresses the depths of the ocean that we can see through the hollows of a large wave.

The 164-page magazine chronicles the history of surfing at one of the world’s most popular surfing destinations and features artwork and stunning photography, including Australian Tim McKennaplus a reflection on how surfing has developed in each of Tahiti’s five archipelagos.

Surfing is a sport that is inextricably linked to the people of Tahiti. In this magnificent destination, surfing is unlike any other location. Photographer Ben Thouard’s incredible images are beautifully captured for this special publication.
