It’s been a big summer for Anthony Edwards: the rising superstar won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics (while scoring the fourth-most points of anyone on the team), saw his name pop up in early predictions for the 2024-25 NBA MVP, and, of course, has continued to release his AE 1 signature sneaker with adidas in a bevy of fresh colorways. Now, that signature sneaker lineup has expanded by one with the unveiling of a new iteration of the AE 1 Low: the “Lucid Lime.”

adidas Basketball says the slime green hue that gives the shoe its name is inspired by Edwards’ “bold and electric” on-court exploits, but fans of basketball shoes through the years may think of the tone and texture of Kobe Bryant’s famed Nike Kobe 6 “Grinch.” However you slice it, the “Lucid Lime” features familiar performance features like a TPU exoskeleton, or as adidas calls it, the “Generative Support Wing,” which provides stability and lockdown, LightBOOST cushioning that enhances the shoe’s feel on the court without adding weight, and a herringbone outsole for proven traction.

If you’re looking to add the “Lucid Lime” to your rotation, it will be available via adidas’ online store and select retailers beginning September 21st. The suggested retail price is set at $110 USD.
