Adam Devine reveals he gained 25 pounds during his wife Chloe Bridges’ pregnancy

We can’t all bounce back like Chloe Bridges.

New father Adam Devine revealed to Page Six in an exclusive interview that he gained 25 pounds during his wife’s pregnancy.

“Her mental recovery was super fast for her, and her physical recovery was so annoying!” the actor — whose son, Beau, was born in February — told us. “She was pregnant, and in the meantime I just ate everything with her and gained about 25 pounds.”

“I was just a fat pig,” he continued. “I was just a little trash can of a person. Just a garbage disposal. I was so dirty.”

Devine, 40, admitted he was “a little embarrassed” by the weight he was putting on, so he “grew a bad beard to cover (his) neck fat.”

While the “Workaholics” alum is only now “starting to bounce back,” Bridges, 32, “bounced back in about three weeks.”

“She looked like herself, and it was so annoying. And (she) didn’t succeed!” the comedian shared. “In the meantime, I’m training six days a week to try to lose the walrus I’ve become.”

Despite the extra pounds, Devine is thriving as a new father.

“It’s great! We love it. To be honest, I’m just having a great time,” he beamed. “I feel like I’m coming into my own as a father. I feel like I was born to be (a father). I’ve always looked a bit like a father. I’ve always given dad vibes. …So now I have fully become myself.”

Calling himself “an old dad,” the “Pitch Perfect” star admitted that he and Bridges — who tied the knot in October 2021 after six years together — “waited” to start a family because “everyone” around them ‘tried to make (them) afraid of parenthood.

As for how his relationship with Bridges has changed since the duo became a group of three, Devine told Us that he and the actress “respect each other more.”

He then sang Bridges’ praises for bearing the brunt of “raising” the child while maintaining his incredibly busy work schedule.

The “Righteous Gemstones” star’s latest gig is a collaboration with TurboTax about the company’s new Beat Your Price campaign, which encourages tax filers to switch to TurboTax Full Service and receive at least a 10 percent discount on the fees they paid to their certified tax preparers last tax season.

“TurboTax has always made it so easy,” Devine said, adding that “they have tons of tax professionals that you can talk to at any time – anywhere, at any time – and who can answer your questions for you. … They guide you through the whole process, which is so helpful.”
