As a result, Pauly, the sixth accused in the case, has been removed from the list of accused, according to the report filed by DySP at the First Class Magistrate Court in Kothamangalam, Ernakulam.

The complaint, dated August 6, 2024, was registered at the Oonnukal police station. The complainant alleges that Pauly and his PR team harassed her and her family by spreading false news and attempting to discredit her through honey trap claims. The complainant, from Neriamangalam, alleges that Pauly sexually assaulted her abroad on the pretext of offering her a film role.

However, Pauly rejected the allegations, claiming that the sexual harassment complaint against him may have been part of a conspiracy.

He has also suggested that persons from the Malayalam film industry may be behind the allegations. Nivin pointed out these things in a formal complaint filed with the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) at the crime branch headquarters.

The controversy started after the publication of the Hema committee report, which led to several actresses and others coming forward with allegations against several actors and directors. Nivin Pauly’s name was listed among the suspects.

The allegation against Nivin alleged that he sexually assaulted the complainant in a hotel room in Dubai after being promised a professional opportunity. Nivin immediately denied the allegation and announced plans to take legal action against the complainant. Following this, people including actor Vineeth Srinivasan, actress Parvathy Krishna and Bhagath Manuel presented evidence disputing the complainant’s claims.
