Yes dear readers, Kraven the Hunter is finally released on the Movie schedule 2024. The delays that the upcoming Marvel movie are about to come to an end, and star Aaron Taylor-Johnson is making the rounds to sell the show to the folks back home. But of course someone linked that project to the rumors that he was the new face of the James Bond movies; and the actor’s reaction is so remarkable that I have to applaud it.

Stumping for the December 13 release from Sony Pictures, Johnson spoke with ComicBook.com about this latest entry in Sony’s Spider-Man universe. So when the conversation just turned to something for him, the Nosferatu cast member offered this brilliant pivot:

I think, you know, if that’s what you really love (Bond) and that’s the kind of movie you love, then you should come see this movie (Kraven the Hunter) because the action in this is insane and super exciting. So yeah, honestly, I don’t think it would disappoint, brother.

Honestly, this is a different side of the Aaron Taylor-Johnson brand than I expected; but in the best possible way. Because we are still waiting for updates on what we know about Bond 26the rumors in question have been following this man for some time now. Let’s not Johnson’s short and blunt James Bond response of the carpet in front The autumn man earlier this year, which you can watch for yourself below:

I can’t blame Mr. Johnson for dropping such a response, as the constant reports that he’s practically already being cast as the next Commander Bond only continue to swirl. That kind of buzz will probably grow in between Kraven the Hunter upcoming cinematic release, as well as in the wake of the Latest James Bond producers Bond 26 teases.

What Kraven The Hunter looks like from a James Bond fan’s perspective

As someone who is a huge 007 fan and has had the opportunity to see advanced footage of it Kraven the Hunter at this year’s New York Comic Con, I can honestly see why Aaron Taylor-Johnson would compare this MCU-adjacent antihero to James Bond. In the role of Sergei Kravinoff, the man is an absolute beast as he is jacked to no end and insane physicality is on display.

There’s a sort of rapid sinking he engages in during the prison escape sequence we got to see, and I wonder how much, if at all, the CGI has improved. With a more grounded approach to the action than most would expect from a Marvel film, director JC Chandor’s four-panel debut comes closer to the action you’d see in Ian Fleming’s legendary creation.

In a world where we can report that there is a potential Daniel Craig DC movie appearancethe door between the James Bond franchise and the world of comic book films continues to open on both sides. It was probably inevitable, since the Bond saga is a cinematic brand on par with the kind of staying power that Marvel Studios has been building for almost two decades.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson will likely get more questions like this from now until the next James Bond is officially announced. With answers like the one you read above, I can’t wait to see where he takes the conversation next, as any good spy is measured in part by how well he stands up to interrogation.
