Aaron Ramsey: Wales and Cardiff midfielder out for two months

It is the latest in a long line of setbacks for Ramsey, who started just seven times and came on as a substitute for Cardiff last season, with the campaign blighted by a knee injury.

The former Arsenal and Juventus playmaker appeared to have turned things around this season, starting Cardiff’s first four Championship games and then playing 72 minutes for Wales in their 0-0 draw with Turkey.

But Ramsey’s latest absence will come as a blow to Wales and Cardiff, who were already missing a host of players through injury at the start of the season.

Jamilu Collins and midfielder David Turnbull are close to full fitness, but Callum Robinson, Kion Etete, Isaak Davies and Jesper Daland are all unavailable for Saturday’s Championship match at home to Leeds United.
