A whole weekend full of rodeo action

The Gilbert Plains Grandview Ag Society Fair and Rodeo is back this weekend!

Starting tomorrow it’s a busy weekend full of bull riding, barrel racing, Chuckwagons, Chariots and much more.

Kevin Boese, president of the Ag Society, found it difficult to pick a favorite from among the many events.

“Well, between the bull riding, the saddle broncs, the rough cattle events and the chuck wagons, it’s extremely exciting to watch. There’s some great horsemanship in the chuck wagons with those guys trying to lead four horses around the barrels and cruising around that track, it’s quite something to watch.”

In addition to all the rodeo action, there are also sheep-hunting competitions, chores and other shows during the break to keep the excitement going.

He also points out that given the current situation, the prices are unbeatable.

“A day pass on Friday is $15, Saturday is $20, and Sunday is $15. But if you buy a weekend pass for $35, you can visit all three days. Like I said, you really can’t afford not to come.”

Whether you come for a day or a whole weekend, you’re sure to have a great time at the Gilbert Plains Grandview Ag Society Fair and Rodeo!
