A serious accident closed Route 8 in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT (WFSB) – A two-car crash closed northbound Route 8 early Sunday morning.

Emergency responders arrived on scene at exit 30 at 3:11 a.m

There have been injuries, but the extent of those injuries is still unclear at this time.

The roadway is currently closed while authorities conduct their investigation, and the duration of the closure has still not been determined.

Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes while the scene remains active.
