Belgium will make their first appearance in the women’s basketball semifinals on Friday, August 9, when they will face France for a place in the final. France defeated Germany in the quarterfinals to secure their place in the semifinals.

The Team USA vs. Australia semifinal will also be played on Friday. The winners of each match and the losers of each match will compete in the finals for the gold and bronze medals respectively on Sunday, August 11.

12 women’s basketball teams started the 2024 Olympic Games. France qualified automatically as the host country. The other countries that qualified are listed below:
