Golf, not just the Paris 2024 Olympics this week

Paris is currently the center of the world. That will also be the case in golf, with the men’s Olympic event at Golf National scheduled for August 1-4. The LPGA will be one to watch in Oregon.

From August 1 to 4, 60 participants will be at the start who will be able to hang a medal around their neck.

There are no points at stake this week, only the attempt to become Olympic champion. Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele are among the favorites. Cheered on by their audience, Matthieu Pavon and Victor Perez will try to honor the tricolor jersey.

LPGA: Portland Classic, Columbia Edgewater Country Club, Portland, Oregon
From August 1 to 4 This week, Agathe Laisné will be joined by Pauline Roussin-Bouchard in the northwestern United States. They will benefit from a relatively open event, as most of the world’s best players will be in Paris a few days before the Olympic event.

Challenge Tour: Irish Challenge, The K Club, Palmer South, Straffan, Ireland
From August 1 to 4, members of the Challenge Tour will travel from the north to the south of Ireland. They will compete at the K Club, a 6,692-yard par 72 that has hosted the Irish Open and the Ryder Cup in 2006.

From August 2 to 4, the LETAS women’s team will return to the fairways after a month’s absence.

They are launching a series of three tournaments in the Scandinavian countries. This first one in Denmark will be marked by a nice prize pool (€60,000). Emily Mollard, Chloé Salort, Lucie André, Emie Peronnin, Charlotte Liautier, Lucie Malchirand, Ariane Klotz and amateur Vanessa Bouvet will be there.
