City unveils new mural for Springbank skateboard park

Today the City of London and the London Arts Council unveiled their plans Imagination endless by Devin Ryan, a new mural at Byron Skateboard Park in Springbank Park.

The mural captures a colorful, bold energy and, according to the artist, who has also always loved skateboarding, was inspired by graffiti.

“Making large-scale doodles of whatever comes to mind is one of my favorite ways to make art,” Devin says. “Making this mural was a full-circle moment where I got to work where I had fun. It wasn’t even work; it was just fun.”

Imagination endless was created over the course of two days.

“I’m thrilled to see yet another piece of public art added to our city,” said Mayor Josh Morgan. “I’m always impressed by the talent that London artists bring to each project, and I know the community will appreciate this bright enhancement to the skate park.”

Imagination endless was financed through the City of London’s Public Art and Monuments programme.

Local artist Devin Ryan’s mural Imagination Endless can be found at Byron Skateboard Park, Springbank Park.
