IND vs SL 2024: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli train for Sri Lanka ODIs

India captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and a few other players will begin their match on Monday as they prepare for the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, starting on August 2.

While the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian T20I team will play the third and final match in Pallekele on Tuesday, Rohit, Kohli and a few others like newcomer Harshit Rana will train in Colombo after reaching the island nation’s capital on Sunday.

Rohit, Kohli and Kuldeep Yadav are on a roll, almost a month after helping India win their second T20 World Cup in America.

The ODIs against Sri Lanka will also mark the return of Shreyas Iyer to the national team. Iyer last played a limited-overs match for India in late 2023, against South Africa in December.

The squad also includes Delhi all-rounder Rana, who was part of the IPL-winning team Kolkata Knight Riders earlier this year.
