Retired American gridiron football star Jason Kelce looks at rugby sevens and hockey

Star player of the American rugby sevens team Ilona Maher welcomed Kelce’s presence at the women’s rugby sevens tournament, saying, “Hopefully he can see that rugby sevens isn’t that different from soccer and he can bring some attention to it in America.”

He and his brother Travis Kelce have certainly brought a lot of attention to American football in the United States. They have a combined total of four Super Bowl victories between them, and even played against each other in the 2023 NFL Super Bowl when Jason’s Eagles took on Travis’ Kansas City Chiefs.

Kelce downplayed the possibility of Travis and his superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift To attend Paris 2024and said, “They’re both really busy, so I doubt they’ll make it. Travis is in the middle of training camp. And Taylor is still, I mean, she’s still doing her thing, tour, and I think she’s in Munich right now. So they probably won’t be. No time.”

Still, Jason Kelce is enjoying the Olympic experience, buying a beret and cheering on Team USA.

“We’re in France, in Paris, and I love adapting to different cultures and stuff,” the mountainous American said. “I know this is about as stereotypical as you can get … I’ve had a lot of croissants and baguettes, too. I just didn’t bring them to the game.”

He further explained his purchase of the beret, saying, “I’m absolutely enjoying the entire experience. And it was raining, I needed something to cover my head. I bought it at a souvenir shop.”

There is no word on whether he is a Fyrgebut there is still plenty of time with 14 days of sport to go Paris 2024.
