Trump charges ‘criminal’ FBI director

Donald Trump posted on Truth Social:

Vice President Kamala Harris recently challenged her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump, to stick to the scheduled ABC debate in September, mocking him for “backing out” via Mediaite.

It is noted that the previous debate between Trump and President Joe Biden is widely seen as a possible reason for Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race. Trump has indicated that he would prefer to see the second debate on Fox News rather than ABC.

Fox News invited Trump and Harris to debate on Sept. 17 after Biden stepped aside. ABC News’ debate is currently scheduled for Sept. 10.

Harris spoke to reporters Thursday afternoon as she disembarked from Air Force Two at Joint Base Andrews and was asked about the potential debates with Trump. The presumptive Democratic nominee called the ABC News debate the “previously agreed to debate of September 10th” and noted that Trump “had previously agreed to that.”

“Now it looks like he’s backing down, but I’m ready for it,” Harris said, “and I think voters deserve to see this split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage.”

“And so, I’m ready, let’s go!” she concluded, before turning and walking to a waiting vehicle with her Secret Service unit. Reporters shouted more questions at her, including whether she would be willing to debate Fox News and the anti-Netanyahu protests in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, but she did not respond.

On Thursday morning, Harris released a statement strongly condemning the “dangerous hateful rhetoric” of the “unpatriotic protesters” who burned American flags and painted pro-Hamas graffiti.
