Heart of Surfing offers children with special needs a fun day out in Margate

Dozens of children with autism and developmental disabilities enjoyed a morning of surfing with caregivers from Margate and Longport on Saturday.

The Heart of Surfing event on Coolidge Avenue in Margate was attended by patrollers from Margate and Longport beaches and the City of Margate Fire Department.

Heart of Surfing is a non-profit organization that provides free surfing and skateboarding lessons to families with autism or other developmental disabilities.
