CPA announces legal action against spectator who threw chips during stage 14 of Tour de France

In what can only be described as bizarre and inexplicable behaviour, a spectator threw chips at Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) and Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease A Bike) during stage 14 of the Tour de France on Saturday.

As Pogačar soloed up the final climb of Pla d’Adet, a spectator jumped in front of him to throw chips in the race leader’s face. The spectator, wearing only shorts and a yellow hat, stands roughly in the middle of the road as Pogačar approaches, before throwing chips from a bag into his hands. The Slovenian, clearly displeased, shook his head as he carried on to take a convincing victory.
