A Denver Karen is going viral online after she was caught on video throwing a tantrum and throwing a kid’s skateboard into a river! Luckily, it was all caught on video.

Just when you think you’ve seen the last of the “Karens,” they always seem to come back. I feel like it’s been a while since one of these went viral (and that’s a good thing). Unfortunately, it’s happened again. This time, it happened in a park in Denver, Colorado. Find out what happened and watch the viral video below.

First, we need to discuss what a “Karen” is. It would be ignorant to pretend that we all know and are comfortable with it. So, real quick, a “Karen” is a woman who throws a tantrum in public over nothing. BBC describes a “Karen” as “a specific type of white, middle-class woman who exhibits behavior that is born of privilege.” You know the type. Someone who demands to see the manager early over a minor incident.

According to Westword, the incident occurred when an angry woman confronted children who were skateboarding at Confluence Park in Denver, Colorado. Video footage from the scene shows her chasing, grabbing and even pushing the boys. Westword says that prior to the video being taken, the woman threw an 11-year-old boy’s skateboard into the South Platte River.

Westword reports that the dispute began when the woman asked the boys to stop skating because she was upset about it. However, there are no signs posted in the area prohibiting skateboarding, which is normally seen in places where skateboarding or skating is not allowed. Westword reports in its report that the woman grabbed the 11-year-old’s skateboard after she felt another skater was getting too close and then threw it into the river. The boy wasn’t even involved in the incident, his board just happened to be lying on the ground nearby, according to Westword.

No charges have been filed here, but police have been on the scene. The video doesn’t go anywhere though. She looks crazy as she chases the kids in the viral video. You can watch the video of this Denver Karen that @alisbelly shared on Instagram for yourself below.
