Kuldeep Yadav ignores Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc as he names Jasprit Bumrah as best all-format bowler

Indian cricket team’s wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has praised top pacer Jasprit Bumrah and said that they are really lucky to have the speedster as a teammate in their team. He also termed Bumrah as the best bowler in all formats of the game at the moment.

The Chinese bowler said Bumrah always delivers for Team India whenever they need the star player and paid tribute to his crucial contributions in their historic ICC T20 World Cup 2024 triumph in the USA and West Indies.

Kuldeep Yadav calls Jasprit Bumrah a rare talent in world cricket

He also said that Bumrah is a rare bowler. Yadav indicated that Bumrah deserves all the credit for his tremendous efforts with the ball, and mentioned his match-winning performances in the recent T20 World Cup 2024, where he was instrumental in key moments like in the group match against Pakistan and in the final against South Africa.

Kuldeep Yadav was quoted by Revsportz as saying, “One hundred percent, Jasprit Bumrah is the best bowler in all formats now. We both started our international careers almost at the same time. He has always stood up for the team. We are lucky to have him as a teammate. He deserves all the credit.

He won so many matches in crucial situations. In this T20 World Cup, he brought us back into the match against Pakistan. In the final, he bowled a tight over in which he gave away only four runs, and in the next over, Heinrich Klassen was out. A bowler like him is very rare. His value in the team is priceless.”

What is striking is that whenever the Men in Blue found themselves in trouble, Bumrah stepped up to the plate, delivered time and again and played a key role in the team’s victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Bumrah finished the 2024 T20 World Cup with 15 wickets in eight matches at a staggering average of 8.26 and an incredible economy of 4.17. He also won the Player of the Tournament award.

Kuldeep was also impressive with the ball in the mega ICC event. However, Kuldeep got his chance in the West Indies, where he played five matches and scalped 10 wickets to play a crucial role in the team’s World Cup triumph after 13 years.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah also achieved another major milestone in his esteemed career. Bumrah was even awarded the prestigious ‘ICC Men’s Player of the Month’ award for June 2024, cementing his status as one of the world’s best fast bowlers.

Bumrah told ICC: “I am delighted to be named ICC Men’s Player of the Month for June. It is a special honour for me after a memorable few weeks in the US and West Indies. We have had a lot to celebrate as a team and I am delighted to add this personal accolade to the list.”

Notably, Bumrah, along with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, are likely to be rested for India’s upcoming white-ball tour of Sri Lanka later this month. India will play three ODIs and three T20Is in Sri Lanka.
