Abhishek Sharma completed his century against Zimbabwe in just 46 balls. This makes him jointly the third fastest Indian to score a century in this format, along with KL Rahul. Rohit Sharma holds the record for the fastest T20I century for India, scoring in 35 balls. Suryakumar Yadav is in second place, with a century in 45 balls.

Fewest balls to score a century:

Abhishek Sharma made his landmark century in T20Is with a six. This innings marked the fewest balls needed to score a T20I century for India. It was only his second innings. Deepak Hooda needed three innings to score a century. KL Rahul scored his fourth innings.

India scored 160 runs in the last 10 overs, which is the most by a team in a T20 international match. The previous best was 159 runs, which was scored by Sri Lanka against Kenya in 2007.
