Match income

Financially, Nate Diaz earned significantly more than Jorge Masvidal for their boxing rematch. Let us remind you that it was the second time Diaz (21-13 MMA, 0-1 Boxing) and Masvidal (35-17 MMA) faced each other after first meeting in November 2019 at UFC 244, where Masvidal won via TKO due to cuts.

This time it was a 175-pound boxing match that would last ten rounds. Diaz’s last combat sport appearance had been in August of the previous year, when he lost to Jake Paul by unanimous decision in his professional boxing debut.

He previously secured a submission victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279.

Masvidal’s most recent fight came at UFC 287, where he lost via unanimous decision to Gilbert Burns. It was his fourth loss in a row, following two losses to Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman.
