Female Athlete of the Year Second Place

The best athlete on the track won the VHSL class 3 indoor and outdoor shot put title for the second year in a row and also repeated his title as discus champion.

The versatile junior was selected for the Commonwealth District first team in both field hockey (as a midfielder) and soccer (as a defender).

The sophomore won the Battlefield District cross country meet, won the state title in the indoor 500 meters and scored 13 goals for the Foxes’ district championship team.

The Lions senior went undefeated in the 165-pound class, winning a VHSL state wrestling title and qualifying for the indoor and outdoor shot put state events.

In a busy spring, she scored 35 goals, was named Battlefield girls’ soccer player of the year and qualified for state in the 100- and 200-meter dashes.
