Now developer Avalanche Software is seemingly turning its attention Hogwarts Legacy 2, it seems like more content is off the table, with a small summer update being all we’ve seen so far.

Since its release is early 2023 Hogwarts legacy has maintained a respectable player base for a single-player game, despite fans clamoring for a Christmas update and more content in general.

But as recently pointed out by a user on r/HarryPotterGame, there was indeed more Hogwarts legacy content we should have gotten over a year ago.

“So… was The wizardry behind Hogwarts’ legacy canceled or something?” they asked.

“It was supposed to come out last year. I feel like it was abandoned and we will probably never see it complete. Too bad, because I was really curious to get a glimpse into the process behind the world-building.”

The wizardry behind Hogwarts’ legacy The intention was for it to be a behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of Hogwarts legacy.

The trailer, which was posted to the official YouTube channel last September, revealed that there would be a feature-length film with “insights and deep dives into the creative process of the Avalanche Software team.”

However, it’s been over a year since the film was announced and we have yet to see the promised film.

“I think they had more ideas for the sequel and final DLC so they started with it instead,” one player suggested.

It remains unclear why the film hasn’t been released yet and whether it was delayed or canceled altogether, but it would have been nice to see the process behind the best-selling game of 2023.
