Davey Macmanus returns after 11 year hiatus with new single Disneyland

Since the last concert in Crimea in 2013 – Davey Macmanus trained as a nurse and worked as a nurse in Africa, then in London, Cork and Dublin – he will return in the summer of 2024. He has gone from 20 years on stage to working in the emergency department. He has lived in the most dangerous township in South Africa – Diepsloot and worked with homeless children there.

From his first tour supporting the Pogues to Top of the Pops and his breakthrough in China to the top 5 moments that changed the music world forever according to Q Magazine, when The Crimea released ‘Secrets of the Witching Hour’ as their first ever free album.

2024 marks 30 years since the release of Macmanus’ first solo album in 1994 ‘Stuff your cherry pie’. Recorded at the old Malthouse studios by Meic Knox-Thomas, the album will be re-released this summer, along with a brand new solo album ‘Even the trees know Karate’. Macmanus will play five shows this summer. Starting with ‘Blue Dog’ – the first song he ever wrote – Davey Macmanus will play songs from the Crocketts and Crimea – along with his solo material.
