The annual surf film festival returns this summer

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The 15th annual Honolulu Surf Film Festival (HSFF) returns to the Honolulu Museum of Art Doris Duke Theater on Thursday, July 11.

The festival lasts a month and shows surfing films that introduce people to the history of surfing and its future.


Members tickets are $12 and general admission is $15.

The screening of “The Shape of Things: The Dick Brewer Story” on Thursday, July 11 at 6 p.m. marks the opening of the festival. Bud Browne’s ‘Locked In!’ and a talk story session close the festival on August 4.
