NSW Police have arrested veteran broadcaster Alan Jones after a two-decade investigation into alleged indecent assault and sexual touching.

Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad executed an arrest warrant at the 83-year-old’s luxury Sydney apartment at Circular Quay at around 7.45am (local time) on Monday.

NSW Police said in a statement that the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad established Strike Force Bonnefin in March to investigate a number of alleged assaults and sexual touching between 2001 and 2019.

A search warrant is still being executed.

There’s more to come.
