Machine guns have always played an important role in Warzone and often played a key role in the meta. This is as true after Black Ops 6’s integration as it was before, with Treyarch’s latest entry adding more LMGs to the game’s ever-expanding arsenal.

Of the three new LMGs added alongside BO6, the XMG is the most complete, making it a good fit for Warzone. That’s especially true if you’re using the best possible gear, which we’ve broken down below for your convenience.

This XMG loadout assumes the use of Gunfighter, a wildcard that allows for eight attachments. With this equipment, you can afford to stack these attachments, all of which improve recoil control: Ported compensator, Vertical handleAnd Recoil springs. These make the XMG extremely accurate and capable of lasering enemies even at great distances.

That impressive range, which can be increased even further by using the reinforced barrel, does entail costs. The mobility and handling of this weapon are far from ideal, so use the Quickdraw handle And Balanced stock is a must to improve these key areas. Even then, this build won’t feel as responsive as an assault rifle, but it’s still a huge improvement over the base rifle.

Since you have eight mounting slots, it doesn’t hurt to have the Extended Mag Iwhich boosts the LMG’s already impressive 100-round magazine to a whopping 150 rounds. In fact, this doesn’t affect the controls at all, so your ADS speed will be just as fast either way, although it will take a little longer to reload.
