GTA 6 leaked screenshots appear online, but are they real?

A new GTA 6 leak has surfaced online and is starting to make the rounds on Reddit and other parts of the internet. However, is the leak legitimate? Over the years, there have been more rumors, leaks, and alleged leaks about GTA 6 than any other game. Most of these rumors have proven to be false, and many of the leaks ultimately fall into the same category: so-called leaks that ultimately turned out to be fake or inaccurate.

Unfortunately, for Grand Theft Auto fans desperate to see more GTA 6, the latest leak appears to be fake, although there’s no definitive way to confirm this at the moment. The images specifically surfaced on a free image hosting site called ImgBB. This isn’t an inherent red flag, but the images themselves are a bit questionable.

Those interested in checking out the alleged GTA 6 screenshots can do so here. One shows what appears to be Jason on a jet ski. This image is the most convincing of the three. What gives it away as a likely fake, however, are the two images it was posted with, one showing Lucia and another a vehicle driving on a coastal road. For those who don’t know, Jason and Lucia are the two main protagonists of the game.

The image with Lucia in particular screams fake. Not only do the reflections look nothing like the RAGE Engine, but the Lucia model looks exactly like the AI ​​Lucia in so many AI-created YouTube thumbnails. Meanwhile, the field of view of the screenshot with the car seems a little too close to be Grand Theft Auto.

Finally, the mini-map is quite large. Therefore, it is much larger than the mini-map in GTA 5. It is possible that Rockstar Games could make the mini-map larger and more informative, but there is no reason to anticipate this. And since that’s not the case, this is certainly an attack on the alleged leak.

Unfortunately, at this point all that’s going on is a questionable leak and the speculation it caused. Rockstar Games hasn’t commented on it yet, and we don’t suspect that will change as it never comments on these types of leaks. However, if it exceeds expectations and comments are received, we will update the story accordingly.
