FBI Nashville looking for man who may have knowledge of child sex abuse victim

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s office in Nashville are searching for a man they believe has information regarding the identity of a minor victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

FBI Nashville is seeking the public’s help in identifying the unknown man. They released photos of ‘John Doe 49’ to the public.

“The initial video of the unidentified man, John Doe 49, was first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and is believed to have been produced on or before July 2024,” FBI Nashville said. “There is no EXIF ​​data embedded in the video file.”

The FBI describes the man as a white man between 45 and 65 years old, bald, with a dark goatee. The subject has at least five visual tattoos:

  • The word Dabby on the right side of his chest
  • 197 followed by possible additional unknown text on his left bicep
  • Additional tattoos on his left and right forearms and right biceps

“Anyone with information should submit a tip online at https://tips.fbi.gov/, or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324), the FBI said. “The public is reminded that no charges have been filed in this case and the person depicted is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.”

The FBI adds that the unidentified man is wanted as part of the agency’s Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program initiatives.
