Pedestrian killed in crash in Gulf County

GULF COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A 64-year-old from Port St. Joe was killed after a crash in Gulf County Tuesday evening.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an 83-year-old driver was traveling east on US Highway 98 around 6:10 p.m. and failed to stop for a crosswalk near Nutmeg St.

The car struck the Port St. Joe man through the crosswalk, causing him to become airborne over the vehicle and onto the southbound shoulder of U.S. Highway 98.
