Srinagar Grenade Attack: 3 LeT Terror Associates Arrested

Giving details, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone VK Birdi said Srinagar police have solved the attack case with the arrest of three terror associates.

Police said on Friday it has arrested three terror operatives of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) involved in Sunday’s grenade attack on the popular flea market, which injured 12 persons.

Giving details, Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone VK Birdi said Srinagar police have solved the attack case with the arrest of three terror associates.

“The arrested persons have been identified as Usama Yasin Sheikh, Umar Fayaz Sheikh and Afnan Mansoor Sheikh. All three belong to the Ikhrajpora area of ​​the city,” Birdi told reporters.

He said the terror partners carried out the attack at the behest of Pakistani proxies with the aim of disrupting peace and tranquility.

“A case under the UAPA (Unlawful Activity (Prevention) Act) has been registered against the trio,” he added.
