Here’s a look at who won Tuesday’s election

It appears three new faces will be joining the Jefferson County Board of Education. According to unofficial results, residents are voting for one sitting president to keep her seat in Tuesday’s elections.

While there were four seats up for grabs this year, only two of the races were contested.

Tricia Lister was appointed to the board in September to represent District 2 after Chris Kolb resigned. She ran unopposed in Tuesday’s election and will now hold the seat for the next four years.

Taylor Everett also ran unopposed and will join the board to represent District 7, replacing the outgoing Sarah McIntosh. Everett is director of government services for the Eight Eleven Group, a national healthcare technology company.

In District 1, incumbent Gail Strange won the overwhelming majority of votes against Mark Gatton and will likely keep her seat. This was her first election after being appointed to the board last year following the retirement of Diane Porter. Strange is self-employed as an independent consultant. She previously worked for more than a decade as director of communications for Presbyterian Church USA

According to unofficial results, Strange received 75% of the votes, while Gatton received about 25%.

In District 4, the race was much closer, although it is likely that Trevin Bass had the upper hand. According to unofficial results, Bass, endorsed by the Jefferson County Teachers Association, received about 55% of the vote, while Lewis collected 45%.

Bass is the CEO of First Strike of Unity and Peace Inc., a mentoring program.
