IND vs SA Final: Rohit Sharma doesn’t hold back in praising Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah after 2024 T20 World Cup win

Virat Kohli’s fifty and astonishing bowling spells from Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya in the second innings. India were in a tough spot in both the innings but these heroes revived the game for India and crowned them champions.

“No one doubted Virat’s form. We know the quality he has when the big players step up. Virat held that end for us, we wanted someone to bat for as long as possible. This was not a wicket where a novice could come and play straight. That’s where Virat’s experience comes through. I’m someone who has been watching him play for so many years, but even I don’t know how he does it. It’s a master class. He stands behind his skills and he is a very confident boy. Hardik was also brilliant when he bowled last time,” Rohit Sharma said in the post-match presentation.

The Men in Blue finally ended their 11-year trophy drought. The Indian team won the toss and their decision proved correct as the batting posted a first-ever 176/7 in 20 overs with the help of Kohli’s fifty and cameos from Axar Patel and Shivam Dube. Later in the bowling, Heinrich Klaasen almost took the match away from India with his rapid-fire fifty but Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya helped India win their sixth ICC title and second T20 World Cup title.
