How did Orlando Cepeda die?

Orlando Cepeda, nicknamed “Baby Bull,” was a legendary Puerto Rican first baseman who worked his way into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Born in 1937, he made his debut in 1958 and became the National League’s Rookie of the Year. Knee problems hampered him throughout his career, but his power never disappeared.

Cepeda starred in the 1960s for the San Francisco Giants and St. Louis Cardinals, twice leading the National League in RBIs and once in home runs. He was a beloved figure in San Francisco, where his number 30 is retired.

A career highlight was winning the 1967 World Series and National League MVP award with the Cardinals.
