A man’s car rolled several times in a ditch in Iowa on Sunday morning

CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (KTTC) – An Iowa man is recovering after his vehicle rolled several times into a ditch in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

According to the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office (CGCSO), this happened around 1:14 a.m. Sunday at 275th and Grouse Ave. in Clear Lake.

The driver of the vehicle, Nathan Shiltz, was traveling north on Grouse Ave. when authorities say he was driving at a high rate of speed causing him to lose control and roll the car several times into the east ditch.

Shiltz managed to get out of the vehicle and was transported to Mercy One Hospital for minor injuries.

The CGCSO said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
