The Broncos return home in Week 8 to face the Carolina Panthers. Denver will look for its fifth win in six weeks as the team looks to secure its second home win of the season.

Denver posted its best rushing performance since 2013 in Week 7, led by running backs Javonte Williams and starting quarterback Bo Nix. With 75 yards on the ground, Nix had the best rushing game of his career and could use his legs to play again this weekend. Williams could also be aiming for another strong performance after recording the first game of his career with multiple rushing touchdowns against the Saints. Running backs Jaleel McLaughlin And Audric Etimewho also contributed last week should look to get back into the ground game in week 8.

Denver’s defense had another strong performance in Week 7, holding the Saints to just three points until the final minutes of Thursday’s win. Heading into Week 8, Denver ranks second in total sacks (28) and third in total yards allowed per game (282.4), and the unit should look to build positive momentum on Sunday to build. The Broncos will look to put pressure on quarterback Bryce Young in the matchup. Outside linebacker Nik Bonittowho recorded a sack in his fifth straight game in Week 7 and now leads the team in sacks (5), could extend his streak on Sunday.

INJURY UPDATE

The Broncos listed safety P.J. Locke (thumb) as questionable and tackle Alex Palczewski (ankle) as questionable. Cornerback Pat Surtain II (concussion), right tackle Mike McGlinchey (knee) and defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (illness) were not assigned playing status, indicating they will be available to play in Sunday’s game.

For Carolina, wide receivers Diontae Johnson (rib) and Adam Thielen (hamstring), outside linebacker DJ Wonnum (quadriceps) and safeties Nick Scott (hamstring), Jordan Fuller (hamstring) and Jammie Robinson (knee) were ruled out. Defensive linemen A’Shawn Robinson (knee) and Jaden Crumedy (ankle), linebacker Claudin Cherelus (hamstring), offensive tackles Taylor Moton (elbow) and Yosh Nijman (knee), tight end Tommy Tremble (back), outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney ( shoulder), safety Sam Franklin Jr. (non-injury-related/personal/foot) and inside linebacker Josey Jewell (hamstring/groin) were listed as questionable. Quarterback Andy Dalton (right thumb), cornerback Dane Jackson (hamstring) and running back Jonathon Brooks (knee) were listed as questionable.
